We quickly recognize the codes of the silent movie. Tinted black and white, scratched images, everyone moving faster than in real life, and of course the typical score. Still this is made in recent years. It is a good example of use of genre codes. It is also a great example of how to end your story with a twist. This kind of twist is great for the shorter format or a joke, but probably not the longer story or the full length movie.
